The area of activity includes ultrasonic and visual non-destructive testing, and recording of fast phenomena using ultra-fast cameras and X-ray tubes. Among the dozens of stations and measurements carried out, the most interesting include the construction of a lighting station for recording crash tests, a station for testing the surface condition of freshly rolled rail, research on the Smolensk disaster, recording of gunshots in the "Pilica" project, a station for testing the combustion temperature of artillery powder using the two-color method, as well as a station for X-ray recording of terminal ballistics phenomena.
